Get Elephant Rock Ready

Shop Wrenches edit

It’s time to ride! The 28th Annual Subaru Elephant Rock Cycling Festival, which is the unofficial start to the Colorado cycling season, will be held on June 7. You don’t want to miss this year’s event.  There is a new Century course featuring scenic and quiet country roads that meander through Franktown to the rolling hills of the Black Forrest. There is also a 65-mile road course, 40-mile road course, 27-mile gravel course, and 8-mile family course.

If road riding isn’t your bag, there is the ERock Sunrise-Sunset mountain bike ride and race, which will be held for the first time at the PS Miller Regional Park complex.

All this riding means you’re going to want to get your bike in tip-top shape and we we’re here to make sure your two-wheeled steed is in peak condition.

Bring your bike in by Friday, May 29, mention this post and we’ll knock $20 off a Performance Tune-up (regularly $90) and we’ll make sure you get it back by Friday, June 5 (if not sooner).

Call us at 303-688-1722 for more details.

Celebrating Teachers

national teacher appreciation dayToday is Teachers Appreciation Day and we would like to celebrate how important teachers to all our lives — whether we are students or not — by giving every teacher who comes into the shop today 10% off their bike tune-ups.

If you are a teacher — active or retired — come in today. If you would like to give a teacher a gift certificate thanking them for their service, we’ll give you 10% off.

The U.S. began celebrating National Teacher Day in 1953 when Eleanor Roosevelt persuaded Congress to set aside a day to recognize educators. It became a nationally recognized day in 1980 when National Education Association (NEA) along with its Kansas and Indiana state affiliates and the Dodge City, Kan., local chapter lobbied Congress.

Did you know:

  • 3.7 million people work as elementary and secondary teachers in public schools in the U.S. (Source: National Center for Education Statistics, 2012)
  • About 40% of people entering the profession in the U.S. are coming from other careers. (Source: National Education Association)

Don’t hesitate to call us at 303-688-1722 for questions or details.

Thank you for your dedication and service!
